Dear Valued Customer,
We thank you for your support of Quantum Invention's flagship navigation product Galactio. Launched in 2010, Galactio has served more than 500,000 users across Southeast Asia, worked across different operating systems and devices. Galactio has been deployed in portable navigation devices (PNDs), as mobile phone applications and in automotive head-units.
In the last 11 years, as the navigation market has changed and evolved, Galactio has found a new home in mobile applications on iOS and Android and has seen a rise in custom implementations for enterprise and government customers.
In this regard, we would like to announce the following:
Galactio V8:
As most customers are already using Galactio V9, sales of new retail licenses for consumer navigation will end immediately. Direct support for Galactio V8 will end on 31 Dec 2021. Map updates for Galactio V8 customers will be available through the following period:
- Singapore up to end of 2022
- Malaysia up to end of 2021
- Indonesia up to end of 2021
Note: Customers using V8 on hardware that can support Galactio V9 can upgrade at a nominal fee at QI office in Singapore.
Galactio V9:
Sales of new licenses for retail consumers will end on 31 Dec 2021. Map updates for Galactio V9 will be available through the following period:
- Singapore up to end of 2023
- Malaysia up to end of 2022 (only MFM map)
- Indonesia up to end of 2022 (only OSM map)
- Myanmar up to end of 2022 (only OSM map)
There is no change to support, integration, and availability of Galactio for enterprise and government customers.
We thank you for your continued support for Galactio. Should you have any questions, please contact your sales contact at Quantum Inventions, or send an email to support@galactio.com.
Yours Sincerely,
Team Galactio @ Quantum Inventions.
